Challenge 2 required two groups of five. The PREP/NSBE, Jr. teams were required to design a green city that was sustainable, and energy efficient. The NSBE College Students provided the teams with supplies and assistance.
Group 1Group one built a city powered by solar panels designed into the top of the tower. Their green city project included a school, a park, a basket ball court, and towers. The PREP/NSBE, Jr. students also included a jail to make the town citizens were safe. Unfortunately this team did not win because they had a lot material waste and that was taken into consideration in this competition.

Group 2This group built a city powered by kinetic energy created by race car track. This team included residential homes in their city. Also, this city had structures that made it easy to move around meaning with the hopes to decrease gas waste. The students created a water system for the citizens of their city. This team was chosen by the judges as the winners of this challenge because of their efficiency and innovation.

Honorable Mention
This student wanted to work on the project alone. So he grabbed some materials and started working. His city consisted of one big tower and four huge apartment buildings.
The apartment buildings were connected to the tower to that the citizens of the city could walk to the tower for work. Although the judges love his ideas, they didn't like the fact that the water source provided by another district.
